1909-S VDB Lincoln Wheat Cent – Extra Fine Condition

Offered here is one of the most famous and desirable coins in American numismatics — the legendary 1909-S VDB Lincoln Wheat Cent.

This historic coin was the first Lincoln cent issued by the United States Mint and features the initials “VDB” of designer Victor David Brenner prominently on the reverse. Due to controversy over the large initials, production was halted early, resulting in extremely low mintage numbers and making the 1909-S VDB one of the key-date coins of the entire Lincoln cent series.

This example is preserved in Extra Fine (XF) condition, showing strong detail in Lincoln’s hair, wheat ears, and lettering with moderate honest wear consistent with the grade.
