The 1921 Peace Dollar is one of the most famous and desirable coins in American numismatics. Introduced to commemorate peace following World War I, it was the first issue of the Peace Dollar series and features the celebrated high-relief design by Anthony de Francisci.
As the only Peace Dollar struck in high relief, the 1921 issue stands apart from later dates and is widely recognized as the key coin of the series. The obverse depicts Lady Liberty crowned with radiant rays, while the reverse features a majestic eagle resting on a rock with the word “PEACE” prominently displayed below.
This specimen is graded as Extra Fine (XF) details and has been cleaned. Despite the cleaning, it remains an attractive example of this highly collectible key-date issue and offers collectors an opportunity to own a historic 1921 Peace Dollar at a more accessible price point.
