The 1894 Liberty Head Nickel, often called the “V Nickel,” is a classic late-19th-century U.S. coin.
Designed by Charles E. Barber and struck by the United States Mint, the coin features a classical portrait of Liberty on the obverse and a Roman numeral “V” representing five cents on the reverse.
This example shows strong detail consistent with Extra Fine (XF) condition, with moderate wear visible only on the highest points while most design elements remain clear.
The 1894 Liberty Head Nickel is not considered a rare date
